Overview
Industrial Parks Development Corporation is a federal public enterprise established by Council of Ministers Regulation No. 326/2014, taking over the rights and obligations of the former Industrial Development Zones Corporation. Its audited statements describe two business units: developing industrial parks across the country and leasing them to investors, and providing multi-disciplinary consultancy and training services. Almost all of its balance sheet is park infrastructure — investment property of ETB 27.37bn and property, plant and equipment of ETB 5.63bn at 30 Sene 2017 E.C. — and income from operating leases is its main revenue line. It joined the Ethiopian Investment Holdings portfolio in the December 2024 expansion.
Income from operating leases almost doubled to ETB 3.41bn and other income reached ETB 1.41bn, lifting total income to ETB 5.18bn and turning the prior year's ETB 708.54M loss into a profit after tax of ETB 646.67M, after administrative expenses of ETB 2.49bn and a tax charge of ETB 200.09M. Total assets reached ETB 43.96bn against equity of ETB 39.45bn.
