Ethiopian Industrial Inputs Development Enterprise
Overview
Ethiopian Industrial Inputs Development Enterprise (EIIDE) is an autonomous state-owned public enterprise established under Council of Ministers Regulation No. 328/2014 and governed by Public Enterprise Proclamation No. 25/1992. Its principal business activity is the supply of industrial inputs and other related services to industries across Ethiopia, which it manufactures, imports and distributes. With effect from 4 December 2024 it became one of the state-owned enterprises owned and managed by Ethiopian Investment Holdings, and it reports under IFRS with a 30 June year end.
Revenue almost doubled to ETB 9.99bn and profit after tax rose 57% to ETB 614.30M, a net margin of 6%. Trade and other payables grew to ETB 4.99bn from ETB 1.71bn, which with the higher trading volume produced ETB 3.64bn of operating cash flow and lifted cash to ETB 3.96bn. The enterprise paid a state dividend of ETB 408.51M and recorded a capital increment of ETB 785.00M, still receivable at the year end.
