Insurance

Insurance companies licensed and supervised by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE), required to publish annual audited financial statements including actuarial reserve disclosures.

Finance & Leasing

Capital goods finance and leasing companies licensed by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) — a newer, smaller regulated category financing equipment and vehicle acquisition.

Microfinance

Microfinance institutions (MFIs) licensed and supervised by the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE). Reporting includes portfolio-at-risk data relevant to financial-inclusion analysis.

Public Enterprises

State-owned enterprises reporting through Ethiopian Investment Holdings (EIH) and line ministries — aviation, hospitality, energy, logistics, mining, manufacturing, trading, construction and other strategic sectors. EIH's own nine-sector grouping for each enterprise is carried on the company's tags.

Telecom

Telecommunications operators. Ethio Telecom is the incumbent state-owned operator; the market is opening to competition (Safaricom Ethiopia) under the Ethiopian Communications Authority.
